Who has tried LED head lights

I was lucky enough to come across this guy in the attached video a few years ago before buying my led set up. He is a headlight guru and has hundreds of videos where he tests every kind of led, as well as halogens, lasers, hid’s, etc… The video explains everything you need to know about how to...

    LED headlights

Yes, I did. I have owned this truck for 20 years now. For around 10 years I ran the complete stock OEM halogen setup. After around ten years of running the stock halogen setup, I finally upgraded to the 4 high mod with relays running all power directly from the battery. Ran that setup for around...

    Bolt on turbo kit?

The only reason I said what I said is because the OP specifically asked about a “bolt on” kit. Which CX racing doesn’t sell.

    Bolt on turbo kit?

You are correct, I was mistaken about the vortec heads. Though they don’t even compare with something like stock 706 truck heads, the vortec are the best iron Chevy heads you can get. Still they are only able to support around 600-700hp at the flywheel before they become a restriction.

    Bolt on turbo kit?

Ok, let me rephrase that. It’s not a good candidate with a stock bottom end. The stock bottom end cannot support high HP. The reason people are going crazy over ls motors these days is because the stock bottom ends support up to and in many case over 1k hp. Sure any motor is a good candidate...

    LED headlights

One thing I have not seen anyone say about choosing proper led bulbs is: It is critical to match the led diode/chip position to the halogen filament position. The closer you match the two filaments/chips the closer the beam pattern will be to OEM. I keep seeing people say they need a special...

    Bolt on turbo kit?

is your truck a 4x4? if so there are absolutely 0, zilch, nada actual bolt on kits built for our trucks. Also just a heads up the Chevy 350 Vortec is not a good candidate for a turbo, nor is the 355. The heads don’t flow enough for one. You would have to upgrade just about everything to be able...

Bad A$# Chevy in the works

And now I will spam this thread with my latest truck p##n shoot. I have completed everything I wanted on the exterior(except getting the rims redone in black and white). Now it’s time for some more engine and suspension work. 5.3 liter ls swap along with a turbo install coming up next. And...

Bad A$# Chevy in the works

Started with $98 worth of steel remnants bought from a local steel mill/yard. Ended with a quickly fabbed up custom tube bumper. I was wanting to add some designs in the plates(Maltese crosses, or a 13), but couldn’t get them looking good enough by hand with the plasma cutter, not without a...

Bad A$# Chevy in the works

Found a gmc grille shell in good condition! Prepped it, my tailgate, and the white paint in between the new black stripes. Raptor liner is tintable to any color you could imagine. The goal after getting my front tube bumper made a couple years ago was.... to get rid of all the decals, trim, and...

Bad A$# Chevy in the works

Taped it off and shot some black Raptor liner on. Wish I would have followed the top body line instead of coming straight off the front corner marker light. It should have curved up with the body line. Here are some shots with the Chevy grille shell. I have been searching for a good gmc shell...

Bad A$# Chevy in the works

Update on my progress. I have now striped off all factory/dealership decals, trim, and panels as well as ALL the fail bed liner that AK bedliners did on my rocker panels, side steps, and custom front bumper. All of it failed completely. PSA, for any Alaska residents who might read this....DO...

Bad A$$ Chevy in the works

Here is my 98 Chevy Silverado. I purchased this truck in 2000 and have been upgrading and maintaining it ever since. When something breaks or goes out, I simply replace it with aftermarket performance upgrades. Not everything of course, some replacement parts have been OEM replacements. For the...

GMT 800 turbo kit for a Gmt400 help please!!

Thanks for the comments and ideas guys. Much appreciated. I contacted on3 performance(the kit linked in the OP), they were not all that helpful in telling me what could be used and what couldn’t be used in their gmt800 single turbo kit. They did however tell me that plenty of folks have used...

GMT 800 turbo kit for a Gmt400 help please!!

Well, that’s what I was looking for, but this one is a bit overpriced on everything. Looks pretty quality though. I may just have to do some welding myself, or keep searching for budget kits. Thank you for sharing.
