If you can find the right ECM, you could use that to control the 4L80E if you don't want to spend big $ on a stand alone controller like MSD or TCI make. http://mattw.dyndns.org/4L80E/ I'm planning on going with an MSD Atomic EFI setup on my HT502 when my bank account allows for it, right now...

8.1L swap into my 7.4L K2500 Burb

Something like that, I could get a ported TBI unit that flows around 720cfm and mess with getting chip flashing equipment, but for the money a new street demon for now.

I considered the 8.1 swap when my tbi 454 died in my K2500 SAS Suburban, the parts availability just isn't there yet. I also looked at the 6.0 swap but after doing some research on what most 6.0 guys were getting for mpg I ended up going with a HT502 with a carb. I'm mainly looking for torque...

Suburban Bumper build

SAS and Exhaust questions

I've got some Dough Thorley headers and Y pipe that were on the stock 454 on my SAS with passenger side drop NP205 and Dana 60. the exhaust is running down the passenger side just fine. The only issue I have is the Y pipe has hit the passenger side shackle.

early 4l80e to 6.0?

Just answered this in another post, from what I've seen you need VSS, Coolant Temp, TPS, and a Tach signal. Going carbed on an HT502 with 4L80E in a SAS K2500 suburban. I'll know for sure in the next couple weeks if the trans will be happy with those sensors.
