Oil coming from intake manifold bolts

Just because he can't reply doesn't mean he can't see this. You better watch out, he might be coming for you. Luckily for us, he's such a shitty mechanic that you know his truck isn't making it far enough to shoot anyone.

    Oversized Drain plug?

If you pulled the pan you could remove the bung and weld in a new one. Or if there is enough real estate, bore out past the size of the old threads and tap it for a bigger bolt. I'd want to remove the pan for that to make sure you get all the shavings out though.

    Which Blend Door Actuator?

Thanks for the info! Do you know what they mean by manual temp control? Would that be a slider opposed to an electrical selector?

    Which Blend Door Actuator?

Does anyone know why there are something like 4 different blend door actuators available for these trucks? I need to replace mine (1994 K1500 Suburban SLE) and I don't know if I have the 2 pin, 4 pin, 5 pin etc. Short of pulling the actuator out beforehand, does anyone know how to properly...

    TERRIBLE slow performance in snow

I run all seasons year round in the midwest, you don' t need winter tires in 90% of the country, but worn tires will make snow awful. If you have an open diff, that isn't helping, see about a junkyard rear end swap if that is the case. I also have no clue where the idea of low gears being...

Finally did the NBS MC swap and rear disc converion!

Did you inspect all your brake lines? Is your booster up for the task of four discs? I think the abs system in these trucks sucks, I would delete if if I did any major brake upgrades.

    Adding Rear Heat 1994 Suburban

Hey guys, not sure if this is the right spot, but I'm hoping someone has done this before. I have a 1994 suburban k1500 with rear ac, I want to add rear heat. I'm trying to figure out everything I need to do this. Obviously the ideal scenario involves finding a sub that already has this and...

    Best water pump?

I seriously considered that option, we run an electric pump on our drag car and it rocks, but my daily driver s10 has a dead cylinder and I decided the water pump was an easier fix.

    Best water pump?

Sorry for the lack of an update. I ended up going with the ac delco and discovered the bad pump was a reman. I might get some flack for this, but I flushed all the old dex cool out and switched to green coolant while I was at it. Does anyone else hate those damn paper gaskets? I gave up on...

    Best water pump?

I've got a 94 k1500 suburban with the 5.7l motor. The water pump started leaking a few days ago at 140k miles. I'm not mad, I drive this truck hard as hell and it's never left me stranded. Water pumps for these engines are dirt cheap, I want the best OEM style replacement out there, wondering...

    Best Brakes?

X2 on proper grease! I can't tell you how many times I've fixed brakes for friends that did their own, didn't grease the pins, then complained a couple of months later that their brakes were squealing already.

    350 or 327

We run a 406 Dart block in our drag car. We kept running into problems with the damn siamese cylinders on stock blocks. Not a cheap option, but definitely worth it! We put out close to 700HP at the flywheel (estimated) naturally aspirated.

    Well......bought a new truck

Cam and tune it! Easy 100 hp, no lie.

    Well......bought a new truck

I can't believe a dealer left those stickers on the truck, they just scream douche bag. Nice truck though!

AC is good for a dd, but toys don't need it, just added weight and complexity.

    Piston Installation Tips and Tricks?

Found it, it was missing from the forward clutch sprag assembly. Thanks guys!

    Piston Installation Tips and Tricks?

It's too small for the clutch packs and all of them are accounted for, I also have all the planetary snap rings in. He rebuilds a lot of Honda transmissions, so we're hoping it's just one we accidentally added to the wrong parts bin. Thanks though!

    Piston Installation Tips and Tricks?

I think it may be this ring, but i'm hoping someone with some knowledge can help this moron out. https://www.gmtransmissionparts.com/front-planet-ring-gear-to-reaction-shaft-snap-ring-4l60e/

    Removing parking brake

That's a bit sensational, don't you think? I only use parking brakes on manual vehicles and have never had an issue, and I've owned quite a few beaters. While I would fix the parking brake anyway, I don't think there's much of a chance of some catastrophic failure like you described. Take...

@John P any ideas? Lol. I really appreciate it!

    Piston Installation Tips and Tricks?

So, I was able to get the new pistons installed no problem, bought some "high end" hyper blue pistons that seem pretty nice. But in putting everything together we found an snap ring that may or may not be from this transmission, it could just be a random part in my buddy's shed. I'm hoping...
