    I bought them used, and apparently there's no clear on them. I was worried I would need to give them a deep cleaning with some acid based wheel cleaner and some ultra fine steel wool at the very least, but luckily that wasn't necessary. They are still far from perfect, but the White Diamond...

    Thanks! The grille came from a local junkyard. Quad headlight brackets came from @Moparmat2000, the headlights were new from Advance, the marker lights ordered new from RockAuto.

    You know what's weird? The truck hasn't had this issue at all since the day I posted this thread. Not even once! It's back to shifting flawlessly again. Goes into gear easily every morning after it sits overnight. I don't understand it, but I guess I don't need to worry about it any more.

    I just used 80W-90 gear oil, that's what everyone recommends for the SM465 and it looks/smells like that's what was already in it when I drained it

    Yeah, just pull it away enough to squeeze the clip into place, then push the seal back in. The clip is black plastic that matches the vent and holds it in place.

    W/T Grille Enthusiasts UNITE!!!

    Depends on the truck, but I like the front end of my '89 Cheyenne.... That grille with the sealed beams really fits the truck well. If I ever switch, it'll be a Silverado grille with the quad lights.
