    Your lucky, on my first it is just welded back together and they added a 25x3 flat bar 300 long to the top and bottom flanges. But it passed Vic rego inspection. No where near good enough as far as I am concerned!

    MilesB, my first ambo also has redundant central locking units, I was told they were linked to the ambo body doors. Mine already had the second alternator removed. Beware when rejoining the chassis, some people just run a strap on the top and bottom of the rails. Having done numerous chassis...

    I have bought the bits for under the dash in my Dually, but am waiting to do it when i know i have a week to pull it apart and then back together. Grab a couple of bags of sand and strap to your deck just over the axle to help bed in the new springs.

    We drove from Belconnen to Royalla thru the middle of the storm. We were lucky to only get 5 dints in the hood. All the other vehicles at home were luckily under cover.

    Down here my old girl has 430,000 kilometers on it, we range from -15C to 45C. I have been running 20W50 for 10 years, just starting to notice the wear now when towing over 5000#.

    When I started my apprenticeship as a Fitter/Machinist/Toolmaker, i had to learn both metric and imperial. So now i think in kilometers but drive to miles per gallon, i can visualize 0.040 is close enough to 1 mm, but prefer meters to feet. I measure in kilograms and talk about tons!
