    Found a 1988 K2500 with six lug 14 bolt rearend but it is 3.73 gears instead of my 3.42s I think I'm buying it and the front differential. I think the 3.73s will be a better match for my 33-12.50 tires anyway. Also found a 1995 K2500 with eight lug wheels and 4.10s I almost bit the bullet...

    Wifes friends husband has a 1995 with a blown 6.5 diesel. She is checking if its a 6 or 8 lug might just get both front and rear if ratios are different.

    I just installed a Viper remote start keyless on my 1994 K1500 and it works great but doesn't do something my Compustar in another truck does. When I remote start it doesn't lock the doors is that normal? My Compustar locks doors automatically when I remote start.

    I am definitely no expert but I seem to remember something about distributer gear issues on Vortec engines.

    Losing coolant

    The other day I tightened my radiator drain **** plug because it looked wet and it hasn't lost any coolant since. It does hold pressure again also. I think its fixed.

    My 1994 K1500 5.7 is losing coolant. No external leaks and no smoke. I'm starting to think intake gaskets. I was under the impression this was only on the vortec engines and not the tbi ones but now I hear it is most of the mid 90's 5.7's. Anybody seen this on a TBI 5.7? I tried pressure...

    Double Din insert 88-94

    I bought one and the opening is not big enough for my Kenwood DPX-503. Kenwood instructions call mine a Dual DIN Stereo I guess the kit is for a double din.

    My 1994 K1500 trip odometer has stopped working speedo and regular odometer still working fine. Any ideas?
