painting fender flares

my 97 2 door tahoe has factory installed fender flares, they are grey and the finish is worn off it looks like they would be a pain in the ass to remove. I am wondering if anyone has ever sanded them down and painted them on the truck. I am wanting to paint them white to match the body color...

engine missing, tach incorrect

my 97 tahoe has been running like crap. the tach is not reading right and it has a miss to it. I am more concearned with what will make the tach read incorrect. I have tryed to find this out but I am confused. Is the tach read off the distributor or the crank position sensor or both? I...
