to weld or not to weld?
Grind the rust and clean the metal, should give you an idea how strong your base is, I would mig it with gas, no slag and better penetration. What did you make your supports from?- dvst8err

stuck torsion bar
I just took one off, drop out the a arm bolts, knock the a arm down and out, then have an assistant pull the a arm out away from the truck, beat the a arm forward, it will come apart from the torsion bar. I had to use the 20lb hammer on the passenger- dvst8err

What is this? And can I get rid of it?
You might have a whole lot of problems if you remove that pump. Those are vacuum lines running to and from, the whole emission system runs off vacuum lines and hoses. The slightest leak will change performance and cause misfire, idle, starting and stalling issues. It's going to have a few...- dvst8err
