NV3500 Transmission

Gentlemen I have a 93' 1500 with an NV3500 tranny. The VIN of the truck shows it originally came with the 4.3 V6 but when I bought the truck I believe it came with the 305. What possible engine options are available to bolt up to the transmission without adaptors and such? Thanks Mike
