96 burban calipers upgrade
I have a 1996 k1500 suburban.. and yes the mushy brakes, stops well, but.....want better ..... I read about the gmt800 master, bought one for a 2001 c1500 with the front port adaptor, installed, very firm pedal, but no stopping power at all... supposed to be better I read... now also reading...- racnredneck

4l60e vette servo install
had it in my 92 c 1500 .. 355/ 700r4, felt good for a daily driver, by the way, I have the jumper harness that goes between the factory trans wiring and the 4 pin electrical connector in 700r4 that helps with shifts, has resistor in it.. I cant use it any more, any one interested in it? will...- racnredneck

universal roof rack monts
going ot add a large off road safari style rack to the top of my 96 bruban. has factory now. is there a company that makes a universal mount that can be bought the fits well onto the current rack ends? or just end up making ones...- racnredneck

High Idle in 1998 Vortec 5.7
you probable had a piece of carbon stuck in the liner egr valve, once hard acceleration, blew it loose, and now working again, in time will have to remove egr and clean out ports in the intake.. high mileage carbon build up. normal condition of higher mileage vortec. 1993 gmc 5.7 Running off battery
when you removed the dash, the idiot charge light indicator was remove, and that is known as the ticker wire... which excites the alternator into charge mode, if not a solid connection with resistance will not ever charge. find the excite wire , wire in a bulb @ 194 bulb or equal resistance...- racnredneck

custom steering wheel?
has anyone ever found an adaptor that will mount a IE: grant steering wheel, etc.. to t he 96-98 gmc/chevy air bag steering column? I know it will have the square look behind it, and I loose the air bag,,, no biggie to me,, waning to go with a custom interior look that I will be making wood...- racnredneck

1997 GMC Suburban Transfer case
most defiantly will. can fix for @ 25.00 but all the possible metal is in the case and can plug up the pump filter screen.. best to remove case disassemble and clean inspect and reassemble, but if cant do that just the ring will do for now.- racnredneck

well I got the burbon for 500.00 im thinking just a mild lift with the 9.5 14 bolt rear instead at this point, I have rebuilt way too many 8.5's due to being used as a truck should be in my lifetime...- racnredneck

So the 3/4 ton control arms will not dit onto the 1/2 ton mounting points? If to do it. Would do iy all toghter. Anyone tried this?- racnredneck

96 k1500 4x4 6 lug, going with a 14 bolt rear 8 lug axle outback.... to match up front without going straight axle up front, is there a way to use 3/4 ton 8 lug hubs on 1/2 knuckles? or do I need 3/4 knuckles? . then the c/v axles are bigger I thought. that would be an issues... o what is out...- racnredneck

9 1/2 rear axle
well found a 1/2 tone 6 bolt 9.5 14 bolt complete axle with drums and springs in a u-pull it yard today, going to get with them after xmas, to haggle a price, what Is a complete drum to drum with springs going for used these days.. o average.- racnredneck

9 1/2 rear axle
hey looking to upgrade the 8.5 ot of my suburban 4x4k1500... down the road I might be getting a good used 9 1/2 6lug axle assy. out of a heavy half ton. this way can keep my wheel until later date if I keep truck will got to 3/4 or 1 ton axles. but for now...... what is the strength of these...- racnredneck

True Duals for my 97
so the pace setters have egr tube on full length headeres... didn't know that. cool, now only if they fit 4x4 im golden, because I have been looking for some for future mods. going with a porter muffler, ( sounds awesome) not too loud. no drone and loud enough when I hit the wa wa pedal...- racnredneck

Is this oil pressure low enough to be concerned?
Kenny the welder is right on the money.... I agree....but oil pressure spec is 10 psi for every 1K rpms.... until pressure relief valve opens. @60-80 psi- racnredneck

Truck won't move in forward gears.
like I said its stripped. needs overhaul. ive done lots of them. upgrade to harden sun shell, new 3-4 clutched, clean out all metal. and replace forward sprag if broken. and probably be ok....- racnredneck
