98/99 4l60E Deep VS Shallow Pan

Count the bolts in the pan. My deep pan is a B&M aluminum uses an extension on the shallow pan filter uses 16 bolts in the pan. The factory deep pans have 17 bolts instead and that what will determine interchangeability.

How long did your 4L60E last?

'99 Tahoe, first owner with 165k on the clock. Regular fluid/filter changes towing 2000# trailer for firewood, auto transport, etc. No problems yet, knock on wood.

clutch help

First thing is to determine if the clutch is actually releasing. It shifts not running because the gears are meshing while stationary. With the engine spinning if the clutch is dragging or not releasing at all you need to determine that. With the vehicle in gear(not running) have soldier #2...
