I have a 1992 Heavy Half and I'm wanting to replace my rear springs. Looking on Rockauto.com, I found several choices and sizes. I belive my pack thickness is 2 11/16 with a load rating of 2025 lbs? Does this sound correct? Do heavy half trucks have 1/2 springs or 3/4 springs. If I move up to a...

    Rough Idle while Driving

I have a 1992 K1500 with a 5.7. I recently preformed a tune up: plugs, wires, cap/rotor button, fuel filter, oil change and a PCV valve. While driving, between 1500-2000 RPM (in any gear) I feel a miss or a spudder. Any idea what it may be or where I can begin trouble shooting? I'm new to this...

No sir, those lines are for 96 and above. That's the wall I'm running into. I've checked with three dealers and each came up with the same lines, which are exactly those lines.

    3 Inch Lift?

I'm thinking about lifting my truck and I don't want to go way crazy. I was thinking about a 3 inch with 33's. I'm not having much lift on finding a lift outside of Keys and Blocks. Are there kits out there that offer replacement rear springs and possibly UCA? Also, will I need any drive line...

    Oil leak, need help

No go today. The dealership ordered the wrong parts. I went by two other dealerships on the way home from work and the third one was the only one that could help. I asked for their main part person to walk out with me so I could show them what I was asking for. The lines they provided were half...

    Oil leak, need help

What I found out is the gasket for my oil filter adapter is worn. So I went and bought a new one. While looking I found another leak. I have a lower oil cooler line leak. I had to order new cooler lines, clips and quick fittings. It'll be my project for tomorrow. I'm a newbie at minor repairs...

    Advice needed on Receiver Hitches

I have a 92 K1500 Heavy Half and I'm wanting to replace my old stock receiver with a new one. My question is do I need a Class 3 or Class 4? I rarely haul anything and I can't see hauling nothing heavier than a car (ever). What's the best choice for me? Thank you.

    Crank to Level...

Note: I measured front the middle of my fenderwell, straight down through the middle of the wheel/tire to the ground. Both tires are equal on tire pressure. Am I measuring from the wrong place and should I measure from somewhere else?

    Crank to Level...

Hey everyone, I have a quick question about crank to level. Once you've done this, how much more could you go? Are the bolts for the torsion bars almost flush inside the crossmember? Reason I ask is with 265's, my front end measures 36.5 inches tall and i don't have much more bolt to turn and...

    Question about 285's

I'm currently running a 265, but I'd like to move up to a 285. I don't want to lift my truck. Will I have to level it to clear or can it be left at stock height? Will I need to trim a bunch and what should I trim? Any advice or experiences would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I'm not sure if you can tell by the second picture, but the top bolt is tucked in the cross member channel. The far bolt is out past the cross member. Someone please help, thank you.

    Exhaust a bit too loud

Today, I ran my truck by the exhaust shop to have it looked at. The exhaust guy said my catalytic converter is as old as my truck and the muffler was far behind it. So, he replaced the muffler with quietest one he had (MagnaFlow 13259, 3 inch in/out), cut my catalytic converter off, and dumped...
