    Converting to PWM?

I have a 94 C1500 with a 4L60E and it needs a rebuild. I am wondering if I pick up an aftermarket one with PWM can I get my truck to use it?

    Dyno testing for the masses!

I am not debating what you saw. I gave my opinion. I do not know your truck or how you performed this diagnostic and all of this is off topic. My point is such things could be tested on the dyno and that is the hole point of what I am trying to do.

    Dyno testing for the masses!

Reverend Mike I agree with you about the part throttle issue. However there is no way, as of yet, to test part throttle gains in a "scientific way", and I use that term loosely. A dyno is all we have to work with and by looking at the torque curve you can get an idea of how it will perform under...

    Dyno testing for the masses!

So on a thread I recently posted, a conversation started that boiled down to this. Person 1: This modification works grate. Person 2: I don't think it dose. Person 1: Here is a book theory as to why it works. Person 2: I won't believe it till I see a Dyno sheet to prove it. Person 1: Her is a...

    TBI - TPI - Multi-Port EFI Retrofit

So clearly we have gone way off on a tangent now. And the discussions beginning to be less than civil. So why don't we stop this conversation here and if you guys want to continue it I would suggest you start a new thread somewhere else. I will however say one more thing on the subject before...

    TBI - TPI - Multi-Port EFI Retrofit

df2x4 I don't mined talking about this at all (as long as it stays civil). While it may not be directly on topic it is directly related. Now I am going to preface what I am about to say with I am NOT an expert. However I am very well read on this particular topic. I fined it very fascinating...

    TBI - TPI - Multi-Port EFI Retrofit

Thanks. I was planning to do most of that any way. I have done the Ultimate TBI mods and took the heat riser flapper out already. I am going to be changing over to an electric fan and doing some exhaust very shortly. I was thinking about the Edelbrock intake. how much of a differences did you...

    TBI - TPI - Multi-Port EFI Retrofit

I appropriate the info but it said it is for a Vortec engine which I do not have. Well K&N specialize in "free flowing" intakes not "cold air" so higher temp is not uncommon with them but over all performance usually goes up. In any case I will be doing a custom active hood scoop this summer.

    TBI - TPI - Multi-Port EFI Retrofit

If I could get 25 mpg I would stick to the TBI. That is more then I am looking to get out of it. What is EBL and what other mods do you have done to get that kind of mileage?

    TBI - TPI - Multi-Port EFI Retrofit

Before I get started, to all the LS guys that are going to tell me I would be better off just doing an LS swap... I know, thank you. I like working on the older stuff. It is more fun to me. So please don't tell me the benefits to an LS swap again. I got it. Now my first question is has anyone...

Project "I'm not dead yet" - LS swap

I finally did some work to the truck. I needed to do a rebuild on the TBI so it was the perfect time to do the "Ultimate TBI mod". I won't go into detail as to how to do it because there are tons of others that have done a better job then I did. Just a little bit of radiusing. Now I just...

    Fuel pump question.

So I have to take the bed off my truck to do some frame work. I figured this would be the perfect time to replace the fuel pump. I am planning to do an LS swap in the future and I know I need a high flow fuel pump for it. So I have 2 questions. One, what are my options for in tank pumps and two...

    GM GoodWrench engine

My father was a fleet mechanic for over 30 years and and any time an engine started giving him trouble he would just swap one of thous engines in and never have a problem again. I too was looking at them. Like every one has said you can't build one for that price. However I have decided to do a...

Project "I'm not dead yet" - LS swap

Thanks guys. So for Stage 1 here is what I am thinking. 1) Electric fan conversation. What are some of the best vehicles to scrounge one from? 2) Fule pump upgrade. What are my best options for this? 3) Moving battery under bed. 4) Rebuild the EFI. 5) New bushings. 6) Radio upgrade 7) Limited...

Project "I'm not dead yet" - LS swap

Firstly if you don't get the quote reference then watch Monty Python and the Holy Grail. Now I will be laying out my entire build plan first. Then I will post links to the individual sub-builds as I do them, with some photos and summery here. So this will be the hub/summery of the entire...
