1998 C1500 Silverado: EVO delete: Pressure hose question

Just to come back with a very late update..... :) I swapped the cover on the new '95 pump to my old '98 pump's cover. I used the adapter to delete the EVO sensor and all has been well since install. Thanks

1998 C1500 Silverado: EVO delete: Pressure hose question

Thanks guys. I did find Dorman makes the EVO delete/adapter 926-049 and of course Amazon has it. So I ordered that and the pressure hose for '98. The old hoses I cut the tubing to make pump removal easier.

1998 C1500 Silverado: EVO delete: Pressure hose question

Well, the pump from a 95 C1500 didn't work for my 98. The return tube coming out the back of the pump was placed differently. No way could I use the bracket that bolts to the back of the pump and is secured at the side and front of the engine. Also, the pressure hose from the 95 at the end that...

1998 C1500 Silverado: EVO delete: Pressure hose question

Hello. I'm replacing the power steering pump on my brother's 98 C1500 and was looking into deleting the EVO unit but unsure about the pressure hose needed. The pumps I'm looking at are the EDELMANN 6140R (supposedly has the bypass fitting already but doesn't show in pictures) or the BBB...

1994 Suburban 350: Freeze Plug Locations?

I've got a coolant leak somewhere seemingly towards the back of the engine. The starter and area around it have coolant all over, yet what's funny is I don't see puddles on the ground. I think most of it is burning off while running. Someone said there's a freeze plug somewhere back there on the...

    The Overhead Console Thread

Forget it. I got it. I feel like an idiot but when you're pushing on/against brittle plastic caution is the word of the day. I wasn't pressing the reflector in hard enough to be able to turn it cc to disengage itself from the map housing. I got them done now. What a difference with the LED's...

    The Overhead Console Thread

Guys, I've been searching but only finding answers for more recent year Suburbans. I've got a 94 Suburban with both map bulbs burnt out. I've got the actual map housings out of the front overhead console but for the life of me can't figure how to remove the reflector and/or bulb. Any help is big...

Installing a Remote Start, Alarm, or Keyless Entry?

For the newer trucks, I know 98's yes, you need a relay. I know on my 94 Suburban no relay was needed except to operate the parking lights for lock/unlock confirmation flash.

    Alarm/remote start/keyless entry advise

I've had nothing but good luck with Bulldog Security alarms and keyless units. MOF, I'm replacing the stock GM alarm/keyless unit on my new-to-me 1994 Suburban with a Bulldog keyless entry unit. Easy to install and not expensive.
