    engine swap with 1996+ NV4500

    I'm thinking he was probably trying to mate the 94 tbi motor to a 96 vortec (different computer) tranny (4l60 = computer controlled) but I'm totally guessing.

    NV4500 Swap.

    I think the big drawback that people look at for the '95 (and newer) tranny is that is when they switched over to the 5.61 first, instead of the 6.34. I want to say your slave setup should work but I'm not totally sure. I think I had priced rebuild kits between $200 and $300.

    Another vote for a shackle flip. Blocks can be a weak link in your rear suspension. God forbid you put some torque to the rear wheels, resulting in a bit of spring wrap and you're gonna spit that block out (due to the broken pin).
