    Extra battery tray

Dual batteries isn't always a mod, it was an option and some vehicles were equipped with dual battery trays minus the dual batteries. OP; it's fairly easy from what I've seen to install a second battery tray and install a second battery. Yeah, my Tahoe has the second tray. I've been...

1997 Chevy K1500 4x4 (Will not go into 4 wheel high)

Well I do know you should be able to switch into 4-hi while in "D" as I can do it with my truck. Usually people end up with no 4wd at all, I haven't heard of 4wd-lo but no 4wd-hi

    Need fuel pump help!!!

Well after being away in Maine and being way too busy around the house to work on the truck, I finally started working on it again. I sealed up the hole on the pump and spliced in the new connector to plug the pump into, but I've run into yet another problem. As I mentioned earlier, I cut off...

    Esky cluster swap problem

Well a data scanner is better than what I used, at least I think it would be. I was using my ScanGauge 2 to tell me the RPMs, water temp, oil pressure, etc etc. Do you think it would be good to use my ScanGauge to set everything to what it should be?

    Esky cluster swap problem

Hmm....what if I throw the old cluster in, and then do the adjustments to the new one?

    Esky cluster swap problem

So you're saying I should have recorded the location of the gauges in the old cluster, then adjusted the new cluster to match?

    Esky cluster swap problem

Well I did an Esky gauge cluster swap a few weeks ago, and all my gauges are incorrect. Tachometer, voltage, oil pressure, water temp. I couldn't test fuel level at the time because the sending unit was bad and I know my speedo is off a bit because of the bigger than OEM tires. What can I do to...

Don't waste the $50 for a B&M or $120 for a TCI electronic shift improver.

Funny, I haven't heard of any problems of shift kits in FSCs

    New Factory Tailgate-Whats It Worth?

    1996*GMC*SHORTBED, there's your answer

    New Factory Tailgate-Whats It Worth?

Well unless they took the tailgate off for 5th-wheel towing, then it's not "brand-new, zero-miles". I've just never seen any trucks with 5th wheels in tow with no tailgates. :dunno:

    Need fuel pump help!!!

Wasn't hard at all. I mean it was a bit tight pushing it into the tank, but not hard. And I didn't have to twist the pump tight, for me it was push it in, hold it down, slightly twist the lock ring, and then spin the lock ring all the way with a chisel and hammer.

    Need fuel pump help!!!

Original one, well the one that was in the tank, was plastic. And it has enough dirt and grime on it to make me think that yes, it was the original pump. In fact, all the new pumps from AC Delco for the GMT400 are plastic.

    Need fuel pump help!!!

If that is the case, then why did my original pump not have said sensor?

I got the part number from the local GM dealership according to my VIN. I guess I'll have to return it to Summit and get a different one.
