    HELP-- 99 tahoe running bad

    Ok, the truck gets really crappy milage (9 to 11 mpg), and after mild acceleration pulls (4k rpm or more) will occasionally backfire (not too bad). Also will sometimes struggle going uphill at low rpms. Possible diagnosis? Has a 5.7 vortec mpfi with bolt ons...such as: CAI, Msd 6al ignition...
