    Once I get all of the ports done I’m going to blend those ridges in the combustion chambers also.

    I worked on blending the ridges that the machining left right below the valve seats. On the exhaust I used a carbide burr bit and an 80 grit roll cartridge. On the intake just the 80 grit.     Fuel tank strap issues

    It could be that the nut broke free from the clip that slides into the crossmember. You can get the bolts and nuts as a kit from Dorman, so if you have to cut it, try to just cut the bolt. Also be careful you are right next to the gas tank. The best thing to do is move the bed out of the way.
