    whats your speedo doing? I had this happening one time. The speedo would be reading zero until I was doing about 40km/h then it would go from zero to my speed instantly and shift from what felt like first into 3rd quite violently. new speed sensor on the transfercase fixed it.

    Tried my original engine computor and another dic. Still the same result. I tossed in a stereo head with the SCV feature and it functions, so the VSS circuit seems functional. I must have crossed up the class 2 wire. I hooked it to a rather large purple wire. Scan tool still functions as well.

    I can't remember for sure. I want to say Dorman. I got them from a bumper to bumper franchise. I didn't clue in until the failure that the tubes are aluminum instead of steal. I suspect the aluminum tubing yeilds when the crimp is done and just can't hold the pressure on the rubber like it should.
