How to get stock dimmer to work with LED's?

I replaced the instrument cluster bulbs LEDs, but I cannot get the factory dimmer to work with them. Sometimes I would rather have them dim than be bright. Is there something I need to modify to get them to work or has anybody got it to work before?

1 ton calipers on a 88-91 truck with LD brakes

I have a 1990 K1500 with the JB3 brakes. I have changed the master cylinder to a 2001 1/2 ton and 1990 K3500 calipers with stock style pads. The truck has never had stoping powre like it does now.

88-94 Electronic HVAC Controls Messing Up

I have a replacement HVAC unit, for my '90 K1500 (3 speed fan, no rec button) , out of a '94 (4 speed fan, W/rec button). The problem I have is, when I plug the newer one in, it works for about 30sec. the the screen goes blank and starts flashing. Has any one done this conversion?
