Really bad bump steer.
I tried these. They bind up well before even the stock tierods do even with all the shims located to move the tierod as low as possible. If you aren't low enough to have to notch for tierods you might be OK. I don't think the rod moved up much at all into my tierod notch before it would bind...- mikesz

I'm also doing an LQ9 swap so it's being controlled by the 2005 computer which has provisions for elecric fans. In my 91 Mustang I'm using this kit. http://www.summitracing.com/parts/FLX-52185/ and the controller that came with it works well. Mike- mikesz

The truck is a '96 and the fans came from an LS1 Camaro. The fans are attached to the shroud only. Removing the 3 top and two bottom shroud bolts allows removing the shroud and fan as a unit. The top and bottom halves of the shroud no longer seperate. EDIT: adding this from my previous...- mikesz

I just did this. With some modifications the fan fits very nicely into the stock fan shroud. Looks like it's supposed to be there and is secured with the factory bolts. It can be very easily installed and removed. I started with a '96 and up shroud, not sure if they are different on the non...- mikesz

96+AC bracket's for ls motor

1996 body trim
