    Body lift, tires rub BAD!

My Threadwright Guard Dogs did end up measuring 34" and not 33", that may have had something to do with it.

    WATER PUMP time for me!

What years will the 11 blade fan work on? I would not mind putting that on my 1990, especially if it'll cool better and be quieter.

    Trans cooler questions...

I posted in the sticky thread but didn't get a great idea of what to do. I have an aftermarket trans cooler that I was given (new in box) http://www.amazon.com/HAYDEN-TRANSAVER-TRANS-COOLER-OC-1405-EXTRA/dp/B009TACG54?tag=viglink22311-20 I have a 1990 K1500 that did not come with a...

    Body lift, tires rub BAD!

I think what I am going to do it pull the bumper forward some and trim it slightly. This should give more then enough space and I can keep the look and not have to buy anything else.

    Tutorial: 3" Body Lift

Maybe so, but I want to be on the safe side. Also, the way I look at it is, I paid for a full brand new kit, if I use them or not is doesn't matter I should have received them.

    Body lift, tires rub BAD!

With 35's I would expect all the, these are technically a 33.5X11.2 so A tiny bit taller but over an inch more narrow than a standard 33X12.50.

    Body lift, tires rub BAD!

I might try pulling the bumper forward and crank the bars a bit and see where it sits. Right now I have the bumper flush with the grill like stock.

    Body lift, tires rub BAD!

When I turn the tire is hitting the trim piece behind the bumper and very close to the bumper.

    Body lift, tires rub BAD!

Got my body lift installed today and the tires (285/75/16) rub pretty damn bad on the front. I am running a 16X8 wheel (came on truck) and a 1.5 spacers. The tires do not stick out to far. I tried with out the spacers and they still rub. I cranked the torsion bars 4 turns and it's still bad...

    Tutorial: 3" Body Lift

That is what the directions said, it was to short. I moved it to the front bed mount so it couldn't be seen and had to build it up with washers so it was tall enough. My kit is also missing the bed support brackets.

In the middle of installing the kit, anyone know which bed point the small body block goes on?

    Tutorial: 3" Body Lift

This is step 7 from the instructions. "7. Automatic transmisson. a. Lengthen the transmission shift rod. b. Scribe a line along the shift rod just above the first bend at the top of the linkage rod. c. Cut the shift rod through the scribed line. d. Place the shift rod...

    Tutorial: 3" Body Lift

I just received my performance acc 3" body lift, it is saying that I need to weld the transmission shaft (auto) and some of the bed supports. I thought all the body lifts were no welding required. I do not have access to a welder, should I return the BL? I have a 1990 K1500.

How to: factory auxiliary trans cooler upgrade

Is there and adapter I can buy so I do not have to cut my stock trans line?

How to: factory auxiliary trans cooler upgrade

That's some good info man. Part of the reason I wanted to go with twin electric fans is the truck seems to creep up in temp when sitting in traffic or still with that a/c on, I haven't let it get above 210 so I am not sure if it will but I do not want to test it. What is your thoughts on this...

How to: factory auxiliary trans cooler upgrade

I have a 1990 and it did not come with a aux Trans cooler. I want to do this mod before the lift and tires. Anyone done this to a truck that didn't already have the aux cooler? Also, is everyone adding this in addition to the radiator or bypassing the radiator? It gets really hot here...

Looking at a RC 4" lift, got a few questions.

Yea, I just realized that is the wrong kit. When I entered my info into the site it came up. Looks like I'll end up with a 3" body kit since the suspension lifts are so dang expensive.

Looking at a RC 4" lift, got a few questions.

I've been reading for a few days and have not found a firm answer on some things. Also I think most threads I have found are on the $1000 kit, I am looking at the more basic 4" kit. I was going to do a 3" body lift but I hate the way the frame show and the way the steps and hitch look after...

I just all the brake stuff, hopefully this will give me some decent improvement. Here is what I ordered: NBS Master Cylinder OE AC Delco Rotors Bendix Fleet Metlok Pads Russell Steel Braided Brakes Lines 3/4 Calipers (with the larger piston) With the truck being 25 years I am banking on this...

    Difference between rotors?

Do you know if there is any difference between say the $25, 30 and $45 rotors the parts store offer?

    Difference between rotors?

Cool, I'm going to just got with some OE equivalent rotors. What performance upgrades? My truck has a newer crate motor in it, but I'd love to get a little more pep out of it.

    Difference between rotors?

Mines a weekend toy/work truck. Within the next 6 months to a year I plan to lift it and add bigger wheels and tires. Most likely regear it as well. Your truck looks great for that mileage. This is what i picked up.

    Difference between rotors?

Yea, I know the MC is going to help the most. But with the truck being 25 years old and having 200K on the body the rubber hoses could stand to be changed and it will just add to firming up the pedal. I also need rotors as they are shot, crazy vibrations with even a little braking and they are...
