    Post your lifted 2wd's!

The only thing I see missing that I don't see is extended upper control arms or ball joint spacers. If you are doing a 3" coil spacer, especially with spindles, you are going to need either extended upper arms or ball joint spacers or good luck getting the alignment right. I'd recommend the...

    2015 Style Tow Mirrors

I still have the same, cheap, eBay set I installed in 2016 when they first came out with no issues at all. Slight vibration (normal) and passenger side mirror is slightly tilted up (normal, otherwise the bottom of the mirror would be cut off from view) Everything still functions as it should...

    Lifted 2wd alignment issue

Looks like you have it figured out but I'll post anyway incase anyone else needs the information. You have two options to fix the camber. Ball joint spacers or extended upper control arms, I went with the later since I didn't want to space my ball joints out. I have a 2wd Yukon that I had...

    1996 Yukon 4wd | Second GMT400

Yep the power steering reservoir has some kind of extension on it. I'm guessing it's maybe from an van/RV but I don't know. It's not attached to anything. I'll probably just get a standard cap and take it off. I don't like it.

    1996 Yukon 4wd | Second GMT400

I'll start off saying I have a couple vehicles and a couple build threads. I have a 1996 GMC Yukon 2wd (original Project Yukon HD), a 2000 Jeep Cherokee (XJ), a 2000 GMC Sonoma, a 1990 Jeep Cherokee (Trail Rig), and now I have acquired another GMT400. A 1996 GMC Yukon 4wd. First off if anyone...

2000 GMC Sonoma SLS Ext Cab | Gas Saver

Thanks! Yeah, I really need to get back working on fitting & mounting the kit. At least then even if I don't get them painted right away it gets the hard part out of the way. It's still in the plans but they got pushed back. I still would really like to turbo it, should be a fun...

Project Yukon HD (1996 Yukon c1500)

Some pictures of the exhaust pieces. The mufflers are mounted under the transmission crossmember, not ideal but not much else can be done with the side mounted fuel tank with the way I wanted the exhaust. IMG_20191201_005315 by Daniel Pace, on Flickr IMG_20191214_214718 by Daniel Pace, on...

Project Yukon HD (1996 Yukon c1500)

Soooo, this thread has been dead for a couple years or so. The best way to keep in touch with what I am doing is Instagram (@dcp1992) and the next best place in my YouTube. I'm not going to be going in crazy detail like I have been just so I can get this thread all caught up. Some pictures and...

2000 GMC Sonoma SLS Ext Cab | Gas Saver

Been a minute since I updated this but not much has changed. I got my Mishimoto E-Fan installed with the Dakota Digital controller and I love it. Only negative I have is I wish the Dakota Digital controller was water resistant and could be mounted in the engine bay. Would have a smaller...

2000 GMC Sonoma SLS Ext Cab | Gas Saver

Over the weekend I got the rest of the license plate light items so I could install my GM roll pan. Fun fact, the GM roll pan for the S10 takes GM400 license plate light assemblies and pigtails. But my OE rear bumper for the Yukon has been in the backyard for about 3-4 years. Not a big issue...

2000 GMC Sonoma SLS Ext Cab | Gas Saver

It was slow at work today so I went ahead a mocked up the Xtreme flares. Good thing is most of the holes are already pre-drilled in the fenders/bedside, all the front holes are there just had to drill the bottom two holes (front facing and rear facing) for the rear flares. I used #10 stainless...

2000 GMC Sonoma SLS Ext Cab | Gas Saver

Next thing I did was in preparation to install the Xtreme kit. I wanted to have fog lights but I wanted then to work like OEM. So I got a new lighting harness for the truck form a Blazer with factory fog light, and BCM from the same Blazer, and then a OEM headlight switch with fog light...

2000 GMC Sonoma SLS Ext Cab | Gas Saver

Again, I have yet to install all of them yet so I only have one on the frame on a side since I didn't have the angle mounts. I will be welding the mounts to the frame like I did to my Jeep. Video I did on the install. The next thing I did was install n OPT7 tailgate bar, not going to post...

2000 GMC Sonoma SLS Ext Cab | Gas Saver

Well, it's been about two and a half years since I updated this thread, and my Yukon thread for that matter. But decided to update this one first, I think I've said it before but YouTube and Instagram is the best place to follow any of my builds. Anyway, I'm not going to go into complete...

    The Stupid Lift Questions Thread

2" & 3" (coil or spacer), 4" (spendles), or 5" & 6" (spindles and coil or spacer) are the only options you have for a 2wd truck. I would recommend you avoid the spacers unless you go with a name brand like Daystar because all the cheap spacers are a toss up on what you actually get. My setup is...

    Post your lifted 2wd's!

And this is why I don't like wheel spacers, cheap ones anyway. Hub centric to wheel centric is always the perferd method. Also, I wouldn't buy spacers of they were not steel or high grade aluminum. They are more expensive but if you are going through the trouble of getting custom hub centric...

    Post your lifted 2wd's!

Refer to my comment above . It will ride stiffer but it's an unknown lift since nobody here has posted that they have used it. I would just do the 4" spindles and be done with it .

    Post your lifted 2wd's!

I hope they did enoghe R&D to prevent the upper control arms from hitting the frame and causing frame damage. When I had the 4" spendels (RC) and a 2" spacers (other) .I had problems with alingment to where I needed extended upper control arms. And even then the control arms were bottoming out...

    2015 Style Tow Mirrors

The only way to get heat is order 99-02 mirrors and change the base to a GMT400 base, like I did. No seller does GMT400 mirrors with heat out of the box.

    Post your lifted 2wd's!

It's a red light camera.. which is illegal in TN by the way. So I just got a bill for $50 in the mail today. All it does is pay for the camera's (and company of the cameras), it cannot be put on your record. The only reason Memphis still uses them is because before the bill was passed to...

    Radius arm/coil SAS stability problem?

I'm tossing around the idea of completely deleting the cross member and doing motor mounts like the 4x4's have just on the frame sides and then adding a tube up front for support or adding a removable tube between the motor mounts when I do the SAS. Just an idea I have, would make running the...

    Radius arm/coil SAS stability problem?

Yeah, boxing in would be good but you'd have to watch the steering and track bar because I know in the oru kit you have to make room for the steering and track bar by massaging the lower cross member to make room after the cut . Here's the kits and you can get the pdfs for the install and see...
