We went to the one at Texas Motor Speedway a couple of years ago. Fun! Also, NASCAR teams were doing some practicing during the event. Bonus, Days of Thunder!!!

Cunningham is good stuff. If you go that route, I would definitely use them. I bought the upper and lower shafts for my 2wd.

    Valance Mounted Fog Lights

OK. You're not going to believe this, but I was able to get the GM Genuine fog light valance, new bought several years ago for this day. Hopefully, it will have the same clearance provisions.

Did you attach the light brackets to the top of the bottom of the bumper?

Having the known GM taillight issues. Who makes the best aftermarket tailights? What are yall running?

I bought these LED ones from IPCW several years ago. The reverse lights come with incandescent bulbs, so I changed them to some intense LED ones. They are great, but I'm pretty sure they have been discontinued. Truck is in shop, so I don't have it handy for as installed pics.

Replacement Exterior Lighting Assemblies, TYC vs DEPO

Good discussion, folks. I have DEPO foglight assemblies to add to my 1998 C1500. Made in Taiwan says SAE, too.

AC Rebuild Input please-condenser yes or no

If you live in the Houston area, I bought this one for my AC job from Rock Auto on my 98 ext cab. You can have it. Opened but new, never used. Would of cost me a fortune for return shipping.

    3.42 to 3.73

So would going from a stock 3.42 open differential to 3.73 with a Yukon Duragrip and new axles be good? Will always use 15" tires with no lift.

    Prior . Cardone Booster

I bought the Cardone new one, but it will be a while before it is installed. Got a good deal on it, so I had to pull the trigger. Doing rip and replace on the power steering system and replacing the rag joint and gear at the same time.

what’s the best trans cooler to buy?

I bought a Long Tru-Cool 40K GVW model LPD47391. It does not have the cold weather bypass. I live in South Texas, but have not installed it yet. My truck is 1998 C1500 5.7 with 4L60E, but it didn't come with a factory installed one. They sell for around $125, but I can't remember what I paid.

    400 vs newer

I bought a 1998 C1500 5.7 auto at 20k mileage. Just put in the new 4 bolt main Vortec crate engine. It has been real reliable and new trucks just cost way too much, now. Parts are plentiful, too. And like others commented before, the march to more electronics/computer controls has sacrificed...
