Wow that looks nuts hah, what brake kit are you using now? I was gonna go ssbc but their 9" disc kit isn't very appealing.

Buddy sent me this thing for sale, and I didn't connect the dots till now. Super clean and tastefully modded, the economy sucks and I'm somewhat in the same boat but if I get laid off ill just park my truck. Granted I do live at home still lol.

    Rick's 1991 Silverado

Ya I thought of a 14 bolt for awhile but at the end of the day I think the 9" is the best decision. I hear nothing but good about them.

    Rick's 1991 Silverado

Lol yes a lot has changed since you've read, ya I believe a 9" will be a good long term investment. I was working on my stomach most of the time hah, it sucked!

    Rick's 1991 Silverado

My wheels rub the inside tubs as it is so I would need spacers lol. I looked into going the 10 bolt route but if I go turbo'd and then try to launch at the track I don't think it will hold. So I think the 9" is the best long term route to go. "Well at 700 whp you are demanding a lot. If you...

    Rick's 1991 Silverado

G80 went boom at the drag strip, best run so far is 13.77 with traction problems. Finally warmed up the tires and the diff blew though hah. Further investigation: One day and 45$ later she's back rocking a junkyard G80, may start looking into a 9"

    Upgrading diff/4.10 gear swap

I'm wanting to get 4.10 gears into my 91 Silverado and while I'm doing that I might aswell diff while I'm at it. I don't want to don't want to do the 14 bolt swap either. So a few questions: How hard is it? Is it something I can do myself or should I be paying someone? Is my diff a 8.5"...
