Same here, if I can do it myself I will. Doesn't always meet the wife's time lines though. lol

We've been remodeling our house little by little, totally gutted it and started over, minor floor plan change was thrown in as well. I've done 95% of the work myself (framing, flooring, plumbing, electrical, drywall, trim, etc.) with some help from my brother and it's a great feeling to walk away knowing that YOU did it. Never get enough time to play with my trucks though...
I've had a hole in my floor since spring from a floor plan modification. Now that I have the vehicles basically squared away I can focus on getting that ready to finish up before Savannah arrives in December.

Got the ICM connector wired in. The original plug was pretty worn out. The female pins were not holding well anymore. Likely from being plugged in and unplugged so many times in the past couple years. Eficonnection on eBay supplied the connector/pigtail. It's an OE item.

Also replaced my tool box locks. Took all of about 5 minutes to do both of them. Super simple design.

Started thinking about this truck a bit lately since I have a lot of free time. I think I'm just gonna run it as is for awhile until I can get more space somewhere and start tearing it down. The 350 is getting weak. I really am starting to doubt it'll make it to 300k. I don't drive it much because it's so tired. And it really needs to be taken apart so I can evaluate just what kind shape its in underneath. It's rusty. Still seems pretty solid though. With my future plans for a diesel in it, it needs to be extremely solid.

I think this build is paused for a bit aside from a couple little things I already have that I can do this summer. It needs a lot of little things right now, and I can't justify doing those little things with the big stuff in the shape that it's in. The headlight housings are fogged over, the tails are foggy too. The windshield is cracked and can't be replaced the to the rust on top of it. Steering box has a fair bit of play, it has a regular miss (probably a ring not sealing) and the converter takes a bit to lock up in 4th. I have an axle that needs built, rust that needs fixed, and the interior needs a bit of attention.

This summer will be slow for it. Probably gonna get the brush guard on, taillights polished and covers on, put the dash back together, and just run it. Probably gonna get the front clip I bought put on just so it's no longer in storage. I've got a lot going on in life at the moment and too much to think about to be doing heavy truck mods.

This is gonna be on the back burner for a year I think. Come back and evaluate then, or if my situation changes. The Buick needs some attention pretty bad as well so I have that to contend with. And the Jeep is also going to be getting some mods for reliability as well. Three at one time is too much.

I'll keep updating this thread as things progress. Just gonna be a slow pace and all minor stuff.

Thursday I blew the subwoofer apart. The 12" JLAudio had a good run. It was beat to hell when I got it and it's taken a fair bit of abuse from me. It got replaced today by an Alpine Type S 12" 4 ohm.

Lights and siren for the Fire Dept! Just some quick pics. I had to finish up and head in to go to bed but I had to snap a couple shots of the stuff working for the build thread.

And I have a hole in my roof now. Damn rot. Looking for a donor something sooner than I was planning. Maybe this is a good thing. The truck has really needed some love and I may have found a solution already. And it has a 5 speed...... :secret:

Well I'm all sorts of flustered now. The truck gave me some trouble the last time i drove it. Anytime the torque converter would go into lockup, the truck would stumble and sputter and run like ****. With the converter unlocked it ran just peachy. So idling in gear it would stumble and miss, as well as under mild to hard acceleration. Light to mild acceleration it ran perfectly fine.

Still haven't dig into the stumbling issue yet. I think I'm gonna order a tcc lockup solenoid and a shift kit and see what happens. If I have to pull the converter I think I'll be doing rings and bearings on the engine too. This truck might have just forced my hand........

Drove it for the first time in months. It stumbled a little here and there but it wasn't all the time and it locked up properly a few times. Pretty much solidified my belief that the PWM is my issue. Now I just gotta find out where I put the darn thing. I ordered it a few months ago and it is now MIA [emoji1787][emoji1787]

Big thanks to my 1 year old. She found my TCC valve rolling around the bedroom floor. Still in the package even! No clue how it got there but I installed it and had great lockup response. Sadly. It still falls on it's face above 1/3 throttle. I can't even run it on the highway.

It really sucks seeing this thing fall apart. The miss has not yet been tracked down and my daily is getting dangerously close to needing work that's equal to it's value.

Sad to have to do this but the truck has been put up for sale. The daily will be getting traded in and I'll be robbing what I can off this truck to keep/sell and make room for my newer rig (whatever it happens to be)

I'm gonna cry like a little ***** when my green truck leaves my driveway for the last time. When it sells, I'll have a pile parts in the classifieds. Stuff I won't be able to hide in the garage attic. It really kills me to post this. But my options are running real thin right now..........

I'll probably post a couple more updates and such as I strip it, maybe a video of it before I start removing my years of hard work and dedication. When it gets sold it'll leave as a pretty stockish truck. Maybe by itself, maybe with a bed full of spare parts for the next guy or gal if they feel so inclined.
