Tint is allowable just not that dark on front windows. 30% is limit I believe.

I run 20 here in Michigan. The law states any color or transmission level 4 inches down from the top on front sides and shield. It's not very strictly enforced. I run 20 all the way down the front two and a 6" 5% brow on the shield. It looks nice and I don't get messed with.

They enforce it here. Use a light meter during annual inspection and troopers carry light meters in cruisers.

Hey! Checking in again.....gearing up the truck this week for Rednecks with paychecks! Big 4 day party at an offroad park here in Texas. I went last fall for one day, this year my friend with the big dodge (in pics somewhere deep in this thread ) is driving down and were camping 4 days there.

We got 43" tires on his dodge and 5.13 gears! So were getting a set of 46x15r20 tires today for it! Should be sick.

My truck is still alive somehow....engine blow by still ain' pretty, but starts great and runs perfect so I'm driving her till she blows....and 20 lbs of boost is making up for my lack of compression. Hahahaha.

friends dodge on 43"s. will post with 46" tires.

i got a big d ring, 1" pin. flipped trailer hitch and removed ball, pin for d ring fits perfect.....hope i dont gotta use it in the mud!

hey everyone! im back from the dead! hahahaha

its been a crazy 2.5 years in texas. still at the same job, ive good to rednecks with paychecks offroad park with my truck like 5 times now, its 2 times a year. i have buried it in the mudpit and even got to the island. its been a blast.

i bought a full tube chassis drag car, a streched 74 vega with a 355 and 871 blower. with a 30' trailer. needed somewhere to park it so i moved to a house in weatherford tx with a yard.

i had alittle trouble with the truck. around november we had a cold snap and it would not start, i worked on it for 3 days and missed work for 3 days because of it....it was that bad. i was a few things that happened at the exact time. easy looking back but it was a head scratcher while in panic mode trying to get to work. well i had gave up, got a plane ticket and flew home to get my 67 buick, while up there i decided to be an adult and i got my 02 vw instead. drove it back to texas. worked on truck and got it going, i think i had 2 good glow plugs, so 6 bad glow plugs, a brand new, bad starter...the 3rd one i put on trying to fix the problem. 3 bad in a row from advance auto parts. and 2 new battries, and a new batt to starter wire.....it got it up and running again!

thank god i fixed it because the next week i went to go to work in the vw and pushed clutch in and it stayed on the floor! i had to pull my tranny in my dirt driveway and replace throwout bearing/slave cylinder on christmas eve.

so i got a atv for rednecks to not beat my truck, on the drive home from picking up the atv i had a pop on the highway, and at the first stop light i felt and heard a skip in my engine....not good. get home and i got a dead cylinder. #2 had 200 psi rest had 470 psi...crap! so i know shes screwed, ran fine with boost, but idling it has a dead hole.....so i said screw it, its blown, but runs....ill let it go out on top.....so i drove to rednecks, jumped it in a pit and went in the air, came down hard and lost oil press......shut down and restart. all good, go 10' and no oil pressure, dump a gallon of oil in it (that how much it takes when it loses oil pressure....blowby pushes that much oil out in 2000 miles...) start it and still nothing. now at this point im not drunk...but im getting there. and said screw it, make it back to camp! drove, in traffic, offroad, with zero oil pressure for atleast 15 mins!!! swear to god! now im thinking maybe i just have a bad ops!!!! got 50 yards from camp sight and engine shut itself off....try to start and engine was seized solid! got towed back.

got real drunk and on atv that night and was going 40mph in a field and hit a huge ditch and endowed and ate my handlebars. broke my nose. went in for the night.

next day, try to start truck. nothing, wont crank. got trailer. towed home, next day i try to get it off trailer. say screw it, ill try to start.....it cranked and fired right up perfect!!!! no way! gotta be a wire or something stupid! yay! i pulled off trailer and start woring on it, no problems found, start pulling engine apart. find almost all pistons cracked....kinda saw that coming from the blow by from day one i got the truck. #2 piston had a big hole in it! so i pull engine, think ill rebuild, pull bottom end, spun #2 rod and #3 main bearing...and cracked #3 main bearing block where cap threads in .now i need a crank and block.

looked everywhere, 6.5s in texas sell for more than a cummins!!!!! i found 5 in connecticut for 500 bucks with low miles, but shipping is too much. texas all have 200+ thousand miles and they want 1500 to 2500 and up, i saw one for 3500!!!! these people are nuts. so i go truck shopping, almost gave up and got a new truck but cant swallow a 600 a month payment for a boring cookie cutter, grass hauling, short bed mini van truck.....

so i caved and got a 96 6.5 N/A P code van engine with 131000 miles. pulled it apart, spotless inside. 141 block, identical to my engine block. got a new high flow waterpump, used my duel thermostates, my fuel pump and injectors. swapped everytthing and cleaned and painted everything. olny diffrence should be the pre cups in the head are smaller, but i looked and they look the same so if they are its a diffrence you cant see with the naked eye,. not a concern for me. dropping in today. thought of all my friends on here and figured id update yall, i still dont have cable or internet so its hard for me to get on here but will try to. im hotspotting my cell phone now. ill try to put sopme pics up in a bit.
