Distributor problem?

Couple weeks ago, heater hose busted on rear engine, gave cap good steam bath, replaced cap and rotor, still ran bad, next day replaced int module, engine idled fine. Let it run for hour, checking for water leak, thankfully none. Couple days later started her up, missed badly and wouldn't idle. Finally got couple dry days, did spark plugs and wires, no change, what the part under rotor button called and can it cause my problem, picture of old cap

Going to replace distributor, wasted two dry days trying figure problem out, rain in forecast next four days, need garage.

The sensor that’s in the distributor is the cam shaft position sensor.

got junkyard one, going swap it on days off or as weather permits

between work and rain, got old girl running sweet, also much help from skinny bro inlaw to tighten dist hold down bolt and route spark plug wires. thank god I don't have lifted truck, standing on milk crate and 375 pounds, not fun dist replace and tune-up and old. these truck need wider fenders to lean on
