Since the seats suposedly can be made to fit it is likely that the carpet wll also but that is an inference from reading rather than practical experience. Someone, probably Sewlow will know for sure.

Can anyone tell me if the 88-94 model have the same floor plan as the later 95-00? I can only find a carpet here in Aus for the earlier year model but hoping it will fit...

99% sure that the floors are the same. Any differences will be minor & the carpet kit can be worked to fit. Put the carpets in the sun for a couple of hours to soften them up. Steam can be used to get the carpet to snuggle up against the floor pan. Before installing the carpet, install the bolts for the seats & belts in the floor. Not all the way down, though. That way you don't have to crawl under the truck to poke something sharp up through the holes to find them. Don't cut holes for the bolts. Just cut an X' through the carpet over the bolt heads so that they'll poke through. Do not cut the overhanging carpet at the doors until the carpet is down, glued in place & the seats are in. The factory has a tendency to cut the carpet too short. Don't triom too much at once. Better to make 2 or 3x small trim cuts to get that right than to do too much at once. Easier to make things smaller/shorter. Making them bigger, if cut too much, is impossible. * Install some sound deadener first! *

OK, my first stupid question. I have a 98K3500CCLB. It's a Cheyenne model, no power anything. Planning on power everything. Figuring a Suburban donor. Now I have heard doors are different between the 2. Is that the shells or everything?

Anyone ever feel anything come out of the crotch vent below the steering wheel? Not sure if airflow is weak from the factory or just on mine. What setting is air supposed to come out of it, upper, lower?

Air comes out, it’s is just super weak. That vent is feed via a small hose from the upper left dash vent. So you will only get air from it when running the top vents.

If you have no air at all, check underneath and verify that the hose is connected.

I have a question for the collective brain trust . . .

For those that have removed their headliners, did anyone notice the little black box that is clipped onto a shelf that sits beneath the headliner in the area where the rear seat HVAC controls are? Does anyone know what this is? Just curious.

Thanks!
