Sorry for the slow update folks, I recently got a new job and my wife is pregnant with our first so things have been busy!

Anywho, back to the story. With the old engine and trans pulled due to the throwout bearing issue, it was time to get serious.

Picked up a new driveshaft after I discovered a dent in the old one.

Just a little look at the KB pistons in the 388, getting ready to put the new World Products heads on.

Removed the rear bumper for putting in a roll pan.

Then I removed the bed from the truck to perform some rust removal and make the shock replacement a lot easier.

Needed to go more low so I cut a coil off the front springs and installed new lower control arms with new bushings for the sway bar. Also installed a brand new, smaller gas tank(for that weight reduction)

Replaced the sealed headlights with H4 replacements. I like the work truck front end and total work truck look of White Lightning.

Then went ahead and started replacing some body panels. I am in no way shape or form a body man or an expert welder. This truck will never be more than a 30 footer. I don't want to have to worry about it getting scratched.

Got new tires for the American Racing aluminum 16s. They were a little shorter profile for more gear ratio and a little wider for a bit more traction.

Got a real cool pic of it next to our local military display.

Not much happened between when that last photo was taken and now.
I got a new windshield installed which was way overdue.

I then decided it was time to upgrade the rear axle and lower the truck like I always wanted.

I cut the front springs and added a DJM flip kit in the rear.

For the rear axle, I installed a 4WD width 9.5" 14 bolt with 3.73 gears, Yukon shafts and a Richmond lockrite locker.

After the installation of the locker, shafts and a nice coat of paint.

This was it's stance after the flip kit was installed and the coils were cut.

My old wheels had too much negative offset and wouldn't clear the bed in the back so my Dad so graciously gave me his 18" 2012 Silverado wheels that tuck perfectly.

Installed the electric fans I had from my firebird as well with a Derale fan controller. They seem to work well.

After getting the radiator fans installed, I worked on getting the new roll pan installed. Also I installed a remote battery setup to help get some more weight over the rear tires and installed a remote shutoff switch.

I got the roll pan painted(Spray Can color match so not the greatest work) and installed a set of aftermarket OEM style taillights. It is really coming together nicely.
