Has anybody tried the Hawk SD brake pads? Are they any better than something heavy duty from Centric or NAPA?

SD? I've run their HPS, LTS, and ceramic. LTS were the most aggressive. Be prepared for a shitload of brake dust. I have the ceramics now and even they dust heavily. They all outperform whatever garbage the truck came with.

I'm fine with the dust i just want good set of pads to go with the 3/4 ton stuff i put on there, right now it just has some NAPA mid grade stuff on there.

It's there Super Duty line i can get them for $80ish on amazon. Not sure about ceramic for towing(used to semi metallic) but people seem to be real happy with them. Maybe they will be to much and i wont get them hot enough to be effective.

How do you like their ceramics? I want to upgrade my 98 c1500 brakes.

I really didn't notice much, if any, of a decrease in stopping force with them. I'd buy them again if they weren't so dusty. Probably shoot for an OE pad next time as I have everything for a hydroboost swap now.
