Drive shaft, solid or split ?

There's usually if not always a reason for there being two. My '92 C1500 is a long bed extended cab. It's way too long to just have one hollow shaft driving the wheels. They may be made strong but if I were to bump something with it, I'd be sol for a while. There's two for a reason on mine: to extend the 4l60e power train to the carrier / support bearing, into the next shaft. There's not really a "better" one, but there's which one will get less f'd up
