I had my bed Line-X ed yesterday. It was coated with a sealer, so it will look grate for a long time, no faded bed linner for me. The guy at Line-x said that the paint may come off when they remove the tape, because of the cheep paint job I have. I said, well if it does, I will just have to fix it. Well it did. I think the Lne-x guy was more upset than I was. So my bed looks grate, but I have some paint work to do now. Im still very happy with the bed. Its Line-x. That is the best there is.

Had that done {before Line x} to my 94 stepside in 96. Still looks great. A few minor nicks and scrapes, but has held up really well. To me it was well worth the money. Not long after, Line x opened up and I got them to do my garden trailer. It has held up really well. No pictures available at this time as both in storage.

The line-x guy said he had done business with our shop and he would cut me a deal. The bed liner was $425. He called me as they were doing the job, and said that, my trucks was very clean, and that they have a coating sealer that he could coat the liner with, so it would not fade. I said how much extra. He said, well it usually an extra $100, but I will do it for an extra $50. I said, so I will owe you $475? he replied, just make it $450 and we will call it good. I thought the job was going to be around $600 or so, and even at the price, I think it would be well worth it, and would have had it done. When he said $425, I said I will have cash, when do you want to do it? I had to give him about a week to get to it, but he came by our shop and picked it up, and dropped it back off after it was finished, and the sealer had dried. He picked it up around 8:00 am, and I had it back around noon. He also called me when he started removing the tape, and the paint started peeling. He was up set, much more than I was. I thought this might happen, so. I told him, it Ok just do what you have to, and I will fix the paint latter. I wish I could have worked on it this weekend, but it never got above freezing today. It may not get above freezing tomorrow, but not for long. Maybe next weekend. It hasn't been this cold in about 10 years here. I had an imitation Rhino liner in my 93 WT. It looked good when they did it, but it was much more like rubber. I went to Home Depot, and bought 2 pallets of floor tile. When they loaded them up, they pushed the pallets in with a fork lift. This peeled up the bed liner. The CO that did the job was out of business, so I was screwed. That will not be an issue with Line-x. Life time warranty as long as I own the truck.

Update. I sanded and primed the bad spots today. Hard to get anything done with all of the bad weather, but I managed to feather sand, and prime today, anyway. I will let this sit until next weekend or longer.

Painted it last weekend, and buffed it out today. Also put the pinstrips back on. You cant tell anything ever happened to the paint. It came out very nice.
