If you've already bought it, it's probably fine. I've heard of people with the Delco/Delphi have problems, so there's always a chance with any part you buy.

I have the Delco one in mine, haven't had any issues.

62-psi with the return closed off is good--sounds more like a regulator leaking back into the tank.

Okay so i replaced the injectors which had the new regulator on it too. When i had it opened up there was a lot of carbon buildup towards the front of the engine and cylinder 1 and 3 were extremely bad with about 1/4” of stuff built up. Spent about 45 minutes and had it looking like new again. In the process of putting everything back together i cracked the hard plastic vacuum line going into the valve cover on the drivers side. I just capped it off so i could test drive it.

I put the guage back on it and it jumps to 40 when i have the key on now and then is at 37 when it’s running. It runs much better but why is the fuel pressure so low now? Is this new style of injector have a different pressure? I blocked off the return line again and it shoots up to 62 again.

Also it will not hold pressure but still starts just fine. Pressure will drop just as quick.

Is there supposed to be something hooked up to the regulator on that piece that comes off of it? Everything i said in my last update has kind of changed. Now the truck has 72 psi with the return line blocked off and it will hold pressure all day long with the truck off if i leave it blocked. Only 32 psi with it open and it will idle but die if you touch the gas. It’s also 15° outside now so that might something to do with it changing.

I don't remember anything connected to the regulator when I swapped mine. No vacuum line or anything.

What's your voltage at the pump itself?

Is this thread in the feedback section? You might message a moderator to see if it can be moved to the engine/performance maintenance section. You may get more views.

I thought i had it in the engine performance and maintenance section. Sorry I’m new to the whole forum thing. Voltage at the pump is 12.47

Okay i think I’ve got it figured out now. So when i put the fuel lines back in we had the hold down bracket upside down. The return line was not tight and ended up popping out. No matter what i do i cannot get it all the way in. The fuel lines will not get far enough down to get the nuts on. I feel like I’ve got to be doing something wrong.

It's been a while since I replaced mine, but there should be some o-rings/washers and a spacer in the fuel meter body where each line connects. Maybe a spacer has gotten unseated?
