Ya my wife was pissed when I took the running boards off one of our burbs, mainly cuz she has to lift our twin 2 year olds in now but it looks better without them

won't those wheels polish up? If so, that might be another option. Then the bumpers, wheels, and nerf bars would kind of tie together a little more. Either way nice looking rig.
Nah, these wheels weren't very well taken care of by the guy I got them from. I don't think they ever got cleaned, let alone polished until I got them. I tried to polish them up, but no good. They are alot better looking now than when I got them, believe it or not. I'm considering doing the basic black paint, just to make them look better than what they are.

I don't know my my phone posts it twice, but it does. Sorry. Amd yes, I deleted the cats. I apologize in advance to everyone who doesn't approve. If you read back, you'll see that the cats were bad on this truck when I bought it. I trusted the guy when the emissions readiness wasn't set, and I shouldn't have. Besides, I feel like it sounds just right without them.

Everything I do to this truck is a battle. No matter how big or small the task may seem, it always becomes a project. I hope the guy who did alot of the work on this truck prior to me buying it, has made an intelligent decision to stop working on vehicles. Today's "project" new shocks. Check out what this doofus did...

The lower mount is worse. You can't see it well in the picture here, but the mount is substantially crushed in, in an attempt to make these shocks that don't belong to this truck fit...

After torching, banging, and using the air hammer for an hour, the front shocks are finally installed.

I understand the battle when it comes to working on your truck; I went to take my factory flares off and it turned into a two hour ordeal, hopefully it won't be a struggle when I need to replace sensors or redo my front end.

Exhaust looks sick! I can't wait to delete the cats on my old 454; what muffler are you running?

Yeah, I just don't understand why people cut corners, ya know. I honestly feel like the guy probably had to put more effort into doing things the wrong way on this truck, than if he would have just had patience, or got the right parts for hell sake. You should have seen the bolt holding the fan pulley on. I swear, they probably had to actually try to cross thread it that bad. Ridiculous.

Thanks, man! Those 454 sound awesome without cats, and having the right exhaust. I never got around to it on my old 454. I'm running a 14" round body magnaflow. It's the same style exhaust that I put on my old man's 95 yukon. I think mine sounds a little cleaner being a vortec instead of a tbi. But my dad loves the way his sounds.

They're not bad, honestly. I was skeptical, but they were the right price. They balanced out pretty well for how much rubber is there, and how heavy they are. They're M/Ts so they will probably only last 20k-25k miles. But they aren't really loud like I thought they would be. They ride much nicer than the sh!tty bfg A/Ts I was running before. And I've only got about 2k-2500 miles on them so it's hard to tell, but they seem to be wearing nicely. And they do GREAT in the mushy stuff. I'm pleased with them for what they are.
