I replaced my plugs, wires, cap and rotor today because I wasn't sure when the last time a tune up took place, truck ran fine before hand. I got it all installed and fired it up and it's running rough. I have checked my wires 10 separate time to make sure they are in the right position, Ive yanked them off and put them back on according to the order and still no improvement. I've checked the connectors at the dist and they are plugged in and fine. Running out of ideas here.
Asking for any and all help.

Maybe you just got a bad wire or plug. It happens. Put your timing light on each spark plug wire as the truck's running. This might show you a bad wire/plug.

Have you ever run into plug wires not really wanting to snap onto the plug? I'm thinking I'm not making good connections.

I cracked a plug on my 99 Sub at last summers tuneup that caused this. I am not one to overtorque a plug so it took me a while to figure it out.

Very possible on either end. There's not much room to work around that distributor.
Another (longer) way to check is pull a wire off a plug. Start the engine and see if it gets worse or is the same. If it runs the same, then you have definitely found where the problem is.
