I cant believe that Lincoln has 7 runs, mine had 2 on it lol then again, stock compared to built is a bad comparison. I shouldve rebuilt my buick,i just didnt wanna put the work into a spent car. Howd the impala do? I'd like to eventually build one,i like fwd too much though lol

Here's the Lincoln after number 8, ended up breaking the bell housing off the motor, got 4th and had to sell it to pay off my divorce, it's making it's way around Indiana now lol

Here's the impala, our stock class rules allow motor swaps, bumper swaps, cages, derby shifters and tanks and that's basically it, doors gotta be wired or chained shut, i got 4th with it to, my core support got tweaked and it jerked my radiator hose off my intake, then we had a super long red flag, it eventually got hot, died, and i timed out, drove it on the trailer, plan on running it at least once more next year

If you switch to full-size I'd recommend sticking to the stock class, the pro mods are fun, but the fun/work ratio is definitely better in the stock class, plus you can cheat a little and junk the really stock guys lol

My car had a few cheap tricks done to it lol after the first run i straightened the trunk out with a trackhoe then kinda rolled the trunk and rear decklid in,crimped every possible edge so itd pack in nice, pushed my front frame rails up about 2in so theyd bend up,which i messed up one because 2nd hit i took, she nosed up hard that it sent my top motor mount into the radiator lol..our rules for stock classes are no windows, wired doors/hoods/trunks,whatever tire you want, and no air bag lol. You can run a inside fuel cell, brace for your seat, and weld your bumpers, thats it. Its always a good time seeing not very well built cars get annihilated.
Im super impressed by the lincoln lol,you seem to not have leadfoot syndrome..i got all out and cant baby it lol

Sounds about like our stock rules. I'm from Ky.

Oh I've got the lead foot syndrome lmao! You just have to learn to build your car harder than there's so it acts like a cushion and theres bends first lol

The Lincoln had a full cage, 4 down legs to the frame, two 'kicker' bars from the dash to the back of the a arm, numerous 1/4 plates, some buffed in, some not, 12" 1/4 2x2 tubing bumper shocks, the front bumper was loaded and weighed around 250lbs, 1/4 hump plates, the a arms was welded completely solid to the frame with 1/4 steel, then under the a arms there was a big 10" by 5in or so plate welded in, anywhere the nose could have bent, was plated, or some other trick was used to keep it straight lol

The impala only has two 4x4 1/4 plates at the firewall where the GM cars bend, it'll probably get two more plates in front of the a arms since it's pre-run now

The worst case scenario is I'll have to slice them, but two 4x4 1/4 plates with a slice is still better than no plates at all! :p

My car bending before theirs wasnt the issue,it was my first time running and i didnt know many tricks to the 3100 engines, like taking the air temp sensor out and putting it on the dash so it always reads cold,my car got super hot and lost all power,i still had plenty of car left if it wouldve kept moving lol. Best hit i got all night was on the winning car(sunfire),i seen him babying around and barely tapping people,so i flew around a bunch of cars in the middle and lined myself up almost at the other end, threw it in reverse and pinned it lol. He was busy eskimo kissing another car that was babying around and didnt even see me coming,i nailed him so hard that the trunk that wasnt hardly packed at all got pushed into his back seat, both back wheels locked up on the body, and about 6in farther right than before the hit lmao thats what made my seat collapse too.
Where at in kentucky are ya? Your rules sound a little more fun than ours,id make a roadtrip to smash some sh*t lol.
Yeah, something is for sure better than nothing, otherwise youre just wasting a car. I cant wait to build my camry wagon,i really wanna do it for the compact class but i feel like itd be an easy win around here in the wire tie class. I have so many cheap ass tricks i wanna try on it,like a old civic radiator, two monster electric fans, two tranny coolers, and spray foam between the trans coolers and radiator...thats probably the best trick I've ever heard lol

I'm from Stanton ky, around 30minutes from Winchester, but i run alot of shows in surrounding counties

I've never messed with the mini fuel injected cars, so i can't help you to much, what's the purpose behind the Civic radiator?

I assume the spray foam is to keep your radiator from busting right? I've always ran two ratchet straps around it and the core support, then snugged it down, adding foam where it touches metal, I've had good luck with it, plus if you DO lose a radiator it only takes 5 mins to swap in a new one

Have you heard of the double tire trick yet?
