My name's Don. I live in rural Illinois. I just bought a 97 suburban, that needed some work, and most of my Google searches kept bringing me here. I just got done replacing my front axle actuator with the upgraded motorized one, and found the info here EXTREMELY helpful, so I want to say thanks for that.
This isn't my first gmt400. 20 some years ago, I had a 92 z71 shortbed. I beat the living crap out of that thing, and it took everything I threw at it. From jumping it like the general Lee, to crossing river's with water up to the windows, towing , mudding, etc. It NEVER let me down. Though I don't plan on treating this suburban that badly, I hope it's half as reliable as my 92.
I do all my own work, and I've already seen what kind of knowledge is floating around in here, so I figured it would be a good place to be a part of.
