27 inch or 28 inch diamer tires on 4/6?

It's not going to make much of a difference either way. The 27" tires will put you a half inch lower to the ground and will give you 1/2" more vertical gap between the top of the tire and bottom of fenders. Maybe a hair more clearance. The 28"s will fill the wheel wells a bit more.

Oh nice so using a 27 inch diameter is basically almost a 5/7 drop but will have better clearance

Yes, for every inch shorter you go in tire diameter, you'll be 1/2" lower to the ground. Vice versa for taller tires. There does come a point, though, where the tire looks too small for the wheel opening. It's all about balance and the look you're trying to achieve. I personally want there to be no visible gap between the top of the tires and the fender, so I'll be running a 275-60-15, which is a 28" tall tire.

Truck on the left is 255/50/17 in the front with a 4/6 drop.
