Thanks, and no I've got a 2" RC coil lift with Pro Comp ES9000 shocks (extended ones in the front) with 1 1/2" wheel spacers in the front no mods on the rear. Wheels are 3 3/4" backspacing on 265/75/15 Toyo open country AT's.
ok, now it makes sense!

Well, just got her back and snapped some quick pics. She is a 1988 C2500, and she desperately needs some new wheels. I am a fan of chrome as you can tell :) so I will be looking at 17 inch by 8 or 9 with zero offset (???). The truck is currently on 2001 factory wheels (I think 7 inch, but could be 6.5 wide, these things are skinny) and 265/75/16. I will be looking at 285/70/17 but just debating on the wheel width. Truck has a 4 inch suspension lift (Fabtech) in front, and 3 inch blocks in rear. Currently using a 1/4 inch wheel spacer in front and a 1.5 inch wheel spacer in the back to even out the width.

LOL Jay Jay. Well, just got back from my trip and I am ready to order my new wheels and tires. Pretty sure I am going to go with Summit Racing U.S. Wheel 97 Series Chrome Modular Wheels 97-7860. They are 16X8, -6 offset. 4.5 inch backspacing. Also want to go with 285/75/16 tires. Hope the combo works with no trimming to the bumper needed. I don't mind trimming the valance some more, but the bumper I would like to keep mint. Will post pics

I put the Fabtech shocks on my 2500 that came with the spindle lift and blocks. I also used a 3 inch block. When I get the truck back from the bodyshop I can measure them, but if you call Fabtech or look them up on line, they sell shocks for the rear when using a 3 inch block. I however would not recommend the Fabtechs, as I was not very happy with them at all. Try to match the length up and use something else like Ranchos maybe.

Thanks, I actually called Bilstein since their website only showed shocks for non-lifted vehicles. They directed me to the catalog for offroad and lifted vehicles. Found the 5100's I needed and just ordered from Summit as I still have $25 coupon from them. Should be here tomorrow. Hope to update my build page once they're in.

Nice. Let us know how the ride is with those. I may order the same ones.

Well, the shocks arrived last week and they were the wrong ones! It had to do with my truck being a 2000 1-ton C3500 vs. a silverado. The correct ones should have been for the 1998 C3500's as the mounting is different. Anyhow, I was annoyed and it was a pain to get Bilstein customer service on the phone, so I said forget it!

I returned those and called up Rancho. The customer service guy was really helpful and gave me the correct shock parts. I am now waiting for my SECOND set from Summit racing as the first set was a returned set that was obviously not BRAND new.

I should have my new set directly ordered directly from Rancho (per Summit racing) by Tuesday. The good thing is Rancho is having a rebate up to $80 through end of October. I purchased four Rancho 9000's, so it qualifies for a $70 rebate. The final total will just be $10 more than the Bilsteins and are at least adjustable.

I'll report back once the debacle is done and they're installed!

Is there a way to get more than 7 inches out of lifting 4” spindles 3” body as a 2wd? I’ve only done 4wd so rather new to this. Could you combine coil and spindle and then a larger block?
