Hello, I have a 1994 K1500 I just recently bought. The power locks kind of worked when I got it. By kind of I mean they engaged but didn't seem to have enough power to lock/unlock. They are pretty hard to move manually. I had to do it about 3 times and they would finally work their way down. However, now they do not engage at all. Basically like no power getting there at all.

Any ideas on where to start with something like this?

Pretty hard to move manually = almost 100% sure the problem is the grease on the actuator rods has gummed up; there are plastic slider clips snapped into the inner door panel that the actuator rods go through. When the grease gums up you will find it very hard to operate the locks manually, and of course the power function will suffer, too.

Pop your door panel off and then carefully pry the rod out of the slider, clean the rod off with a paper towel and brake parts cleaner (spray it on the towel, not at the rod - you don't wanna end up soaking your window with the stuff especially if you have tint), and also try folding a clean towel up so you can get any excess out of the slider, too. Don't put the brake parts cleaner in the clip as it might make the plastic brittle.

Apply a little fresh white lithium grease to that area of the rod and snap it back into the slider. Locks should operate way better.
