junkyard honda

a month or two ago,i bought a 92 cb7 accord off one of my buddies for 150,it was too clean for him to scrap it. Had a blown f20 in it and auto,so I decided I'd indulge in a budget build. So far I've picked up an h22a4 from a prelude,5spd from a newer accord ex,random header,intake,480cc injectors,and twin loop muffler off craigslist,i have some 03+ civic si seats for the front and a confetti gsr backseat..all together,including the car,i have about 700 into it..next thing I'll be looking for is bigger injectors,a decent size turbo(really wanna run a 6266 but yeah right lmao)and some wheels..so far its in pieces,motor is getting torn apart and cleaned,trans is getting a rebuild,and im also looking for suspension,my goal is to have less than 1500 in it even with nice wheels,then sell it for at least double

Looking forward to updates. I had a 94 2dr 5 speed accord so I have a soft spot for the older Hondas. I always wanted to do an h swap in mine.

Heres some pics of how my poor cb7 sits as of now,got thrown on the back burner for awhile...got my engine back from the shop though,just a stock rebuild on the h22 thats going back in..still need to find a trans and im ready to brap lol

Update on my daily racecar--
Picking up a prelude si trans tomorrow
Traded my fresh h22 for a mild built h22(cams,ported head,bigger intake,big injectors,hondata with custom tunes,header,bored .030 over and some other go fast stuff)
Picked up a nrg quick release hub and neochrome/white steering wheel that glows purple at night
Still looking for the right coils and wheels/tires to go on it..
Also ordered some spiked lug nuts for it and my fleetside lol
Rust has been fixed,the one bacon fender is replaced,interior got a vicious cleaning from being neglected for 8+ years,primered it black for now and painted my stock steelies teal and put beauty rings on the wheels lol
Next on the list--
Have a compression test ran on the new h22 because its way too good of a deal to not have something wrong with it lol
Wheels/tires
Jdm bumper/chin spoiler/headlights and tails,and turn signals
Eventually wanna throw a silver base on it,do some sort of a mint or teal color then throw a ton of purple and colbalt blue flake in it(jdm afff)
Seat swap from an acura tsx
Possibly air ride...still iffy on it if im gonna daily this even in winter time lol

....thats about all ive got so far,dont wanna post pictures until its finished,or atleast running and driving

Updates:
New h22 was awesome until cylinder 3 decided to make a guest appearance on the outside of the block..got a f22 thats gonna get tuned on e85 and 8lbs
Found some no name 16s to throw on it,painted them white then speckled the wheels with purple,teal,pink,and bright blue to look like a jawbreaker lol
Some of my rust repair is starting to look trashy so im gonna use actual sheet metal instead of trying to halfass bondo it,after its fixed right im gonna paint the car just like the wheels. After the paint is done the wheels will get painted all white again,painted with highlighters(green or orange),then cleared over for maximum JDMs lol
This turd car went from scrap metal,to daily driver,to weekend warrior,to full blown money pit..this is why i can't have nice things lol i always end up turning my daily drivers into toys

Enough talk where are the pics. Id lime to see the jawbreaker wheels.

I never remember to post pics lol im going to clean the garage out tomorrow to do some winter cleaning,i'll be sure to set a reminder on my phone to get some pics of the wheels lol

Not my wheels but pretty much the same exact thing except i started with a flat white base.
Plans to go balls out with this car have gone down hill. Got a stock f22b1 from a 95 accord with a 5spd,has 134k on it. Back to daily driver for the cb7,not even gonna mess with another swap until i can build my stock f22a6

Got another project! 92 accord lx 5spd,got it not running. Took it home and checked main relay and fuses,they were good. Moved onto spark and only cyl 1 has spark. Changed dizzy with my 91 and now it wont spark at all. Pretty sure i either need a new igniter or dizzy in general. Oh well,225 for a kinda rare honda? I'll take it! Lol
The 91 got all the spare parts sold to buy the 92,all i have left is the original f22a4 to rebuild for it for derby season

Tore into the 92 the past few days. Distributor is good,but my timing belt isnt. Snapped in half/: pulled the head and checked the pistons to make sure that the valves didnt kiss em. No marks! Got my timing belt and gaskets,took it almost all the way apart today then got cold lol. Did the jawbreaker paint on my valve cover and it turned out ok,it was a little too cold to make it stick well. Gonna finish it up tomorrow and post pictures. Gotta weld a hole in my downpipe,or take the a4 manifold since it's a factory header(good for 5hp too,id be at a vicious 140hp to the crank,maybe 100hp to the wheels)
For some reason this car is growing on me. I think its the opal green metallic,it's gorgeous even when its caked in 3yrs of dirt,I cant wait to wash and wax it. Gonna clean the engine bay with degreaser tomorrow too,its fuggin grosssss
