check ecm 2 20amp fuse underhood...that year group has issues with the ignition controller on back of intake just above and to the right of distributor...that fuse will go from time to time or as an indicator of an issue with that modual

Dropped the tank, it was simple. Seemed like the easier of the two options since I am solo. Removing the bed seems simple as well, but with just me it seemed easier to lower the tank than try and lift the bed ha. Waiting for parts to arrive. Will update after install how truck is running.
It's not that uncommon for the fuel pump to fail on these trucks. Especially at that mileage. Like others have mentioned, turn the ignition on but don't start and listen for a "buzzing" sound coming from the rear. You should be able to hear it from the cabin for a couple of seconds. If there is no "buzzing" sound, it's unfortunately very likely that the fuel pump has given up.
I usually just push down the door ajar button and buckle the belt (without buckling myself up) to get the chime to stop if I need to listen for noises...
These pumps typically do not give you any warning.

The new pump showed up in the mail today. When I get home in a few hours its going in and I will update. The tank is on the ground and ready for the new pump so it should go fast and I should have an update tonight. As well as a running truck

New pump is in, and truck is running great again. Fired right up. New pump is Delphi HP-10001. I went the route of dropping the tank. And if I had to do it again I would drop the tank again. It really was super simple. And I had about 2/3 of a tank of gas in there, it was no big deal. Hardest part was raising the tank back up but even that was simple.
