Here is 4" on 35s it's all up to you. I would imagine 6" on 33s will put a lot of strain on your control arms and tie rods.

Nice looking truck man! Any problems with rubbing and/or did you have to do any trimming?

Thanks man! And no trimming at all but if I turn literally all the way (Which you shouldn't do any way) it rubs on the lower control arm. So as long as you don't turn all the way your golden.

Anyone else have any issues with the Kicker Braces not lining up to the mounting holes in the trans crossmember? Mine are short and drilling it is almost not an option because the hole in the brace lines up with the very edge of the brace and I'll never be able to get a washer and nut on the top side of the crossmember.

1998 2 door.

rough country says to just re angle the braces over towards the center more and then drill
a hole.

Rough country says to do this.. I'm not

Ok, I'm having this exact problem. I plan to call rough country in the morning, but can you post a pic of what your resolution was? I'm not a fan of drilling holes on the edge of the plate like you had indicated. If nothing else, I'll get some custom kicker braces made. My truck is a 96 K1500 with the 6.5 TD and a 4L80E. Wondering if the bigger trans has a different cross member.

So I called rough country about the kicker braces being too short for a 4L80e transmission crossmember set up that some of the k1500 trucks had.

Their initial answer was to drill a hole where the gusset plate is welded to the rest of the crossmember. I explained to them how that option was not a good idea.

They agreed to fab up and mail me a new set of kicker braces, if I gave them the measurements. Best part is that rough country fabbed and mailed them at no cost to me!

For my truck, I have them a measurement of 30" and 30 1/4" for the short and long dimensions of the kicker braces. They fit, but just a little too tight for my preference. I probably should have said 30 1/4" and 30 1/2" to provide just a little more wiggle room.

The first picture below shows the problem I was having, and the second pic shows the new longer kicker braces fanned up by rough country.

I have a question regarding a Rough Country 4" lift and Realift TB re-locators. If I installed TB re-locators while installing the lift what happens with the crossmember in regards to the depth that the TB re-locators add? Would I be moving the crossmember back the same distance that the re-locators add? Thanks

The torsion bar crossmember only gets moved backwards the 4-5” (I don’t remember the exact amount.) You will not use the torsion bar crossmember drop brackets that are in the rough country lift.

What I did was get my front end back together, then slide the relocators in as far as comfortably so they wouldn’t hit anything, then input in my torsion bars with my crossmember and drilled the new holes.

Hey guys thought I'd chime in here. I work in a suspension shop that deals almost exclusively in Rough Coutry lift kits, what you guys are referring to RCX. I'd be glad to answer any questions you have about installing one of the kits. If I can find the time I'll try to compile some information about them.
Hey man I’m putting on a RCX 6” lift now and i can’t get the torsion bars/keys to sit right. With the a-arms hanging as far as they can. They either sit way high or way low. When i tighten them high the truck looks like a low rider but when I️ tighten them low it maxes out the lift at its lowest setting. It’s the only thing I️ have left to do.

Everything you need is in this thread. No suspension lift is “easy”, but with proper planning and reading the directions and the information detailed in this thread, it is doable in a hole garage. Allow a full weekend, or maybe two, to do the lift. Highly recommended to replace bushings and front end suspension items at the same time, you really don’t want to tear it all back apart again later.
