Haven't thought of using Teflon. That's a good idea. I'll look into it. Thanks for the compliments guys! It's been a lot of work. I've got about 60 hours in it already haha.

I guess I should have said PTFE, not Teflon.
Had to work around a lot of steam at one of my previous jobs and anti seize would just get cooked/washed out. Started using PTFE Thread Sealant and no more issues. Since then I have been using that when doing any work under the vehicle. Never know when something needs to come apart again.
If it's exhaust I make sure either the bolt or nut is stainless. Stainless + Stainless on exhaust will become galled and never come apart (did that once and had to twist off 7 out of 9 3/8" bolts). Steel bolt + stainless nut should never rust together.

That looks really nice, I still have to paint my frame from my front cab mounts to the front bumper. Not really looking forward to it, I should have done it with the fenders off. Are you applying the vinegar to the frame after grinding if clean or how are you going about that?

Thanks a bunch for the tips and compliments everyone. Looking into the Teflon idea for the bolts. I'm soaking all the bolts in vinegar. The frame is getting sprayed with Ospho (phosphoric acid) to handle any little rust particles left over and to keep a film on the frame until I can epoxy it. I bought another gallon of the Ospho to respray the frame so it reactivates the acid I've already sprayed on. That way I can thoroughly rinse the frame off and it won't react or cause adhesion issues with the epoxy primer.

Also, some progress shots. Here's the inside of the C-channel on the passenger side. It's taking a while but it will be worth it. Also my Rancho RS5000 shocks are in great working order, but I decided to strip them clean and paint them silver and get some new blue dust boots.

Have fun on the driver's side inner c channel. I've skipped the insides of my rails under the cab for now, but they're pretty clean anyway.

Wasn't too bad. Pulled out the transmission cross member and fuel filter hold bracket, removed the fuel tank and move all the lines out of the frame. Honestly didn't take long to do at all. I did the driver side first and looks just as good. I'm being thorough haha. The whole front half of the frame is now clean metal in and out. Time for the back half now. :)

Sorry I haven't updated in a bit, parents have been moving into town and I've been helping quite a but outside of work. The front half is now completely clean inside and out, I've started cleaning the rear half of the frame. I'm hoping to spray epoxy on the frame this weekend, then Raptor liner and be finished with it so I can start on the body panels. Figured out my frame was stamped on December 2nd in 1997. I'll be sure to get plenty of pictures up once the frame is back in black.

Now that's what I'm talkin' about. Finally satisfied with the frame. I'm probably being way more picky than necessary but I really don't want rust spreading ever again, especially since I'm spraying epoxy and then a urethane bedliner. Hopefully will be spraying this weekend.
