My motor was a 5.7 and I bored and stroked it to a 383. Its got a 212 duration 214 degree cam with I assume under a .500 lift like mid 4's( Guy who built it lost some info and I think he told me duration from what he remembers !! Bad experience! ) Any way I want to put a larger lift / duration Cam in. I have stock stamped rockers. Will I have to shorten or lengthen my push rod length ? or can I use same ones ? Thanks!

Depends on the base circle of the new cam. Only way to know for sure is to install the new cam and then check your wear pattern.

Above +,Depending on how the heads were setup, you need to check retainer to guide clearance before going to a larger lift, and swap the springs for whatever the cam manufacture recommends for the new cam. Maybe have the guides and spring seats cut to accommodate the new cam. A .450ish cam runs little more then a stock spring.

Another thing to monitor when you start changing springs is installed height. If you use an offset lock it may place the retainer too close to the nubs on the self aligning rockers. I think Alex makes a drop in spring kit to fix that though. Just thinking of the crap I've been through.

Use ls6 valve springs and Comp cams Retainers and locks for their beehive springs to gain retainer to seal clearance, and get a push rod measuring tool if you want to definitively check the length you need. I would use beefed up pushrods regardless though as the stock ones tend to deflect at much RPM when used under added lift and higher spring pressures. And keep in mind that if you are using vortec heads retainer to seal clearance runs at 0.450 to 0.480 sometimes less and it varies between heads and even spring perches on the same head.
