Ok so I got those power stop brakes on today and I like em already, super smooth braking and responsive. I'll let you know how they do in next couple days of routine driving with the truck being loaded up but so far I would definitely buy them agian

No actual benefit to marketing hype rotors, especially drilled, frozen, catturd-cryo-bead-blasted, etc. Some slight benefit to slotted as it helps prevent pad material buildup on the rotor which can cause vibration and make you think the rotor is warped. Drilled rotors were for old school racing pad compounds that emitted lots of gas. No longer an issue. Stick with quality brand name OEM-style rotors. Wagner, Raybestos, etc. Or if your OEM rotors are still in good shape just keep them.

I actually have experience that tells me a used turned stock rotor is the best choice.....
Just my own personal experience that in my mind makes sense.
A used rotor has been heat cycled to death and has stabilized. Turning it tries it up obviously and I feel they are WAY less prone to warping again.

I think a lot of you guys that "upgrade" are finding that new brakes are better than old brakes. Not a single sport compound has been mentioned in here.

Agreed
As for pads I'd Put Hawk HPS up against anything

The new 5.0 is supposed to be what the HPS never lived up to. I got a set for my Z06, hoping they don't suck! I swear the Hawk ceramics bite every bit as good as the LTS which was better than the HPS and HPS better than whatever garbage came with the truck.
