So I've got a Dixie horn wired up in my truck (down south where I live it brings everyone excitement) but I'd like to find a way to wire it sound when the lock button is hit twice like the regular horn does. The only problem I find in this is that I still want use of the regular switch and, the horn has to be turned on and off so I'm thinking it have to be on some sort of timer?

Are they hooked up to your factory horn now? Also - do you just tap the horn and it plays the tune or do you have to hold the horn button to keep it playing?

I have the solenoid for my air horns wired up through a relay. Without it, it is a weak signal (or just too fast) when my horn "*****" from locking it. Once I put a relay in they definitely honk when I lock my truck.

You'll need to wire them directly to your horn if you want them to honk whenever you lock your truck.
I can't remember for sure, but I believe one is just inside the driver fender and the other behind the grill (someone correct me if I'm wrong). Two wires to each one. Just poke a test light to each and see which one lights up. That's where your positive will go for your Dixie Horns.

Now when you flip the switch do you just flip it on/off real quick and it plays the complete tune, or do you have to leave the switch in the on position until it's finished?

I have to leave it on until the tune is finished then flick it off
