It is time to replace my rocker panels die to rust, and I have a few ?'s
1. My inner rockers are bad about 2" of the way up, can I just take a flat piece of 18 gauge metal and weld it in flat, or is the factory piece tapered at the bottom?
2. Is there an extension piece in the middle, and if so, do I need it, or can I just weld my outers right to my inners.
3. How long are the inner rockers supposed to be? 52", I believe. The panels lmc sells are only 42" so I'm trying to figure out what I need to make.
Thanks I'm advance!

I'll help ya out. I'm not going to solve it for you , but I will point you in the right direction. Evidently you got a tape measure figured out. So you take the lager number and subtract the smaller from it and it will give you the number you need for the length of the piece you need to make. If you can't figure this out in your head, one of the devices you have should have a calculator in it.

There are different quality replacement rockers out there some are full length some are slip ons and there are 2,3,4 door trucks to which you've provided no links to parts or pictures, or any info on any of it. It's best to replace stuff with the same gauge metal that it was originally made of.
