i realize this is a retrofit thread but i just had my hydroboost unit replaced. it was leaking at the o-ring on the unit itself. it can be replaced but is time consuming, messy and has to be done correctly or damage will occur. i wimped out and had a shop replace mine.

Will a GMT400 mounting plate fit on a 800 series Hydroboost?
Why not just use the 800 booster mounting plate? Only one bolt isn't in the same location and that's easy enough to drill a hole in the firewall.

Great write up. For my 90 C3500 I bought a rebuild kit for my hydroboost, it was leaking where it connected to that master cylinder. My buddy wants to convert to a hydroboost. I'll send him here.

If anyone tries to use the GMT 800 booster, I would be interested to hear about whether or no the brake push rod will work with the GMT 400 pedal, never tried that myself.

Great info guys. I scored a HydroBoost system from a 2005 Z71 Suburban today. Got the booster, master cylinder all lines, stainless steel lines from Master Cyl to Proportioning valve. I cut the output lines on the bottom of the PV. Also got an after market oil cooler all for $50.00. HB and master look very good, truck was surprisingly clean.

Question, I just finished installing a 9.5" 14b SF axle with Dual Piston Disc brakes from a 2002 Suburban on to my 97 K1500 Suburban. Would this PV provide the correct bias for the new 4 wheel disc I now have?

Still gotta get a pedal, and a push rod.

Was gonna grab the power steering pump but the cap was off and was full of water and fluid. I'll buy a new one.
